What is the Year 2000 Problem?

What is the Year 2000 Problem?
Many products use a two digit data field to define the date, i.e. the year is defined with "98" instead of "1998." For these products, the year 2000 will show as "00" which may mislead the system or application into thinking that the year is "1900" and not "2000."
Products which define the year with four digits will have no problem.
Products which do not have a data field for the date will also have no problem.
ANC's statement of the Year 2000 Problem
ANC is committed to providing our customers with products which are Year 2000 Compliant and addressing the issues surrounding Year 2000 Compliance and resolving them as quickly as possible.
'Year 2000 compliant' with respect to the ANC products means that the products either 1) have no date function; or 2) the products that are date sensitive which have been sold or licensed to our Customers will continue performing properly with regard to such date data on and after January 1, 2000, and will recognize the year 2000 as a leap year.
